Dr.ing. Diana Andone is the Director of the eLearning Center of Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania, responsible for planning and implementing digital technologies, online learning technologies, and the university award winning Virtual Campus CVUPT.
She is also associate professor at the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania, in the area of multimedia, interactive and web technologies. Since 1998, she teaches course modules in universities from UK, France, USA, Finland, Italy, Greece. She holds a PhD in Designing eLearning Spaces for Digital Students with Brighton University, UK, has extensive research experience with intense publication (over 17 books, 100 research papers, 11 Best paper Awards) and more than 30 research and educational projects, mainly funded by the European Commission.
She is passionate about the ubiquitous access to technologies and how they can be used to improve people’s life. Dr. Andone actively promotes the use of OERs, MOOCs and the open education principles, developing UniCampus.eu for training for digital skills, acting in international associations (EDEN, IEEE, AACE, IADIS, IAFES,) actively supports the local start-up movement (StartUp Weekend, HackTM, hackathons, CoderDojo) and Girls in Tech, Women in Tech and STEM education.
She also acts in the Board of Romanian NGOs (Pentru Voi Foundation), in Timisoara 2021 European Capital of Culture Task Force and in other voluntary organisations. Dr. Andone is EDEN Senior Fellow, IEEE Education Society 2021 Distinguished Chapter Leadership Award, EDEN Vice-President for Communication and Communities (2018-2021), and member in IEEE Education Society Board of Governors (2021-present), and in IEEE Romania Section the Educational activities Chair (2019-present).

Computer Science Engineer passionate about education with 14 years' experience on Moodle development. Since 2018 he is working at Moodle HQ as a Moodle LMS developer. Previously, he was working at the Moodle partner iThinkUPC, leading the development of Moodle-based products for a variety of customers including universities, schools and companies. He is also an associate teacher at the Fine Arts Faculty at the University of Barcelona.

Summary of presentation
The new Moodle 4.0 course editor and the reactive module used to create it. The presentation will be mainly for developers (especially for course formats ones). The main focus will be the changes all legacy formats should do to be compatible with the new editor.

Martin Dougiamas is the founder and CEO of the open-source Moodle software project he started in 1999. The Moodle platform consists of a number of products, but the best-known is Moodle LMS, which allows educators in all sectors to create private educational spaces online, filled with tools for collaborative learning. Martin has a mixed academic background with multiple post-graduate degrees in Computer Science and Education, two honorary doctorates and is a member of multiple boards around the world. He continues to focus on researching how open education technology can best support teaching and learning in open and human ways, with a keen interest in helping to produce a generation that can meet the UN’s sustainable development goals.

Paul has worked as a Senior Developer on the Moodle Workplace team for the last 2.5 years. Prior to that he worked as a developer in the UK education sector. For the past year he has led the project implementing Report builder into Moodle LMS 4.0, previously an exclusive feature of Moodle Workplace.

Andrei Ternauciuc obtained his doctorate in 2011 for research in the field of educational web platforms, e-Learning technologies being among his central professional interests, along with modern internet technologies. He has participated as a member of research and development teams in a series of national and international projects, with partners from academia and industry. He is currently head of the administration and development team of the Virtual Campus of UPT, the Moodle-based e-Learning platform used by the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania. He is also a lecturer with the Communications Department of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies. He conducts lectures and hands-on activities with students in a variety of fields, including instructional and information technology, online platforms and others.
